What are the dimensions of a WildTable?

Please see the overall dimensions for all sizes of WildTable on the following downloads: WildTable 4; WildTable 6, WildTable 8, WildTable 12.

Where can I site my WildTable?

The two main requirements when choosing where to site your WildTable is for even, stable ground (ideally paving or decking) and well away from any overhanging vegetation that could interfere with the flue.

What is the lead time for a WildTable order?

The standard lead time for preparing a WildTable is 2 weeks. Customers then have the option to have this shipped by pallet to their address, or to take advantage of our White Glove Delivery service which includes installation and a full handover.

How do I assemble my WildTable?

Please watch our video guide to understand how to assemble your WildTable.

If my WildTable is on a slightly uneven surface, what can I do to stop it wobbling?

The WildTable legs are fully adjustable using a #4 hex key. Insert the hex key into the bolt at the back of each leg, loosen, adjust the leg height and then tighten again.

Is my WildTable moveable?

Yes all WildTables can be moved. Please view the following video guide for information on how to disassemble and move your WildTable. Moving a WildTable is a two-person job, and please be aware that the components of the larger tables are very heavy.

How do I take the tabletop off my WildTable?

The copper tabletop is easy to remove. Please watch the following video guide for instructions. Please be aware that the copper is incredibly fragile and care must be taken when handling it to avoid scratches and scuffs.

How do I light my WildTable?

To light the WildTable, please view our video guide.

What fuel can I burn in my WildTable?

The WildTable is designed to burn both wood and charcoal. For optimal performance, we recommend restaurant-grade lumpwood charcoal which can be purchased here. Please avoid compressed charcoal, briquettes or Binchotan, all of which can damage the firebox. For wood, we recommend using well-seasoned split logs with a moisture content between 15% and 18% for a clean effective burn.

Can I put the Teppanyaki Cooking Plate on the naked flame?

No, the Teppanyaki Cooking Plate is made from enamelled cast iron. When this gets too hot, it can crack. It should only ever be sited on top of the burner lid when closed.

How long is the WildTable flue?

A standalone WildTable is supplied with 1.5 metres of flue. If you wish to extend your flue to pass through a structure such as a pergola or for any other reason, extra lengths can be purchased via our customer service team and simply slot together.

Can I increase the length of the flue?

A standalone WildTable is supplied with 1.5 metres of flue. If you wish to extend your flue to pass through a structure such as a pergola or for any other reason, extra lengths can be purchased via our customer service team and simply slot together.

What is the flue damper for?

The flue damper closes the flue, preventing air from escaping the firebox. In practice, if you close this partially, this will increase the heat being radiated out by the burner as hot air is not being drawn away as quickly, when completely closed, this will ultimately extinguish the fire. For more information, please refer to the WildTable User Guide.

How do I shut down my WildTable at the end of a session?

When you have finished using the WildTable, ideally you want to allow the fuel to fully and cleanly combust. As such, do not extinguish the fire by fully closing the air controls and flue dampener. If you want to increase the speed at which the fire extinguishes, partially close the relevant air control depending on the fuel being used. once the flames have subsided, the air control may be closed further to restrict air supply. Never fully close the air controls while fuel remains alight.

How much weight can the tabletop support?

The tabletop is cantilevered from the burner. It is robust and has been designed to support the weight of all tableware. You should never stand on the tabletop (regardless of how much fun you are having)!

How do I clean the tabletop?

Please refer to the cleaning and maintenance section of the WildTable User Guide for information on how to best clean and maintain your copper tabletop.

How do I clean my Skilts?

The skilts are made from wool, and should be dry cleaned to avoid damage.

How do I clean the glass on my burner lid?

The quick and easy manual way to clean your glass door is to open it, and using a drytissue, just wipe away the sooty deposit. In doing so, you are also removing themoisture from the firebox, so once you close the door again, your glass will stay cleanand clear. Alternatively, a neat trick is to partially close the wood air control to slow air flow andallow air in the double skin to get hotter. After about 5 minutes, increase the wood aircontrol to MAX and burn the fire hotter for 10 minutes. This often burns off light soot naturally. Please read our WildTable User Guide for extended instructions.

Should I remove my WildTable wool skilts when not in use?

Yes. While natural wool is inherently water resistant, constant wetting and drying can cause stitch work to fail, and constant exposure to UV will cause the fabric to discolour and degrade over time. Being a natural fabric, insects can also lay eggs in the fabric or infest it.

How often should I empty and clean the gastronorm pan underneath my WildTable?

The stainless steel gastronorm pan is located in a dedicated channel under the burner and can be easily checked after each use to gauge when it needs to be emptied and cleaned. It can be cleaned by rinsing it in warm soapy water or ot is dishwasher safe.

Is there charcoal I should avoid when using the WildTable?

We recommend avoiding the use of compressed charcoal briquettes or Binchotan, as this burns much hotter than lump wood charcoal and can risk damage to the burner from overheating. Due to the air controls, burner lid and flue, WildTables can burn much hotter than most solid fuel burners, and as such, adding additional potential heat is unnecessary and detrimental.

What parts of the WildTable are consumable and will need replacing?

The cast iron internal grates, burner lid rope seal and where relevant, the spark arrestor are all consumable parts and will expire over time and with use. These are all easily replaceable and can either be ordered on our website using the above links, or from our Sales Team.

When to replace the rope seal on the burner door?

The rope seal on the underside of the burner door is designed to be exactly that, a seal. It is a consumable part and will expire over time through weathering and use. It will discolour, which is not an issue, it should always be attached properly to the door and not loose, forming an effective seal between the burner and the door. If the seal detaches from the door, if the rope is still in reasonable condition, this can be reattached using a heat-resistant silicone, however if the rope itself has sufficiently deteriorated, then this will need replacing in full. You can order a replacement rope seal here.

When to replace internal grates?

The cast iron internal grates are consumable and will expire over time. These are essential to keep the burning embers off the bottom of the firebox, for both ventilation, but also so that the firebox itself does not overheat and warp. The grates are easy to remove for cleaning and inspection. Once any part of the grate has broken down or come apart, it is essential to replace it. Replacement grates can be ordered from our website here.

Can I order replacement parts for my WildTable?
