Yes, power is required for the lighting. There are various options for providing power to the WildKitchen. Please refer to the WildKitchen User Guide for more information.

Do the tents come in any other sizes?

WildTents come in two sizes as standard - a Single and a Double WildTent. For further information on dimensions, please see the WildKitchen Overview page. How do I clean the tabletop?

Please refer to the relevant section of the WildTable User Guide for information on how to best clean and maintain your copper tabletop.

Can I put the Teppanyaki Cooking Plate on the naked flame?

No, the Teppanyaki Cooking Plate is made from enamelled cast iron. When this gets too hot, it can crack. Please refer to the WildTable User Guide for how to use this but it should only ever be sited on top of the burner lid when closed.

What type of charcoal should I use in my WildTable?

We recommend restaurant-grade, lump wood charcoal. You can purchase this from our website. We do not recommend using briquettes or compressed charcoal, as this burns much hotter and can lead to the failure of certain parts.

What is the Flue damper for?

The flue damper closes the flue, preventing air from escaping the firebox. In practice, if you close this partially, this will increase the heat being given off by the table as hot air is not being drawn away as quickly, when completely closed, this will ultimately kill the fire off. For more information, please refer to the WildTable User Guide.

If my WildTable is on a slightly uneven surface, what can I do to stop it wobbling?

The WildTable legs are fully adjustable using a #4 Hex key. Insert the Hex key into the bolt at the back of each leg, loosen, adjust the leg height and then tighten again.

How do I clean my Skilts?

The skilts are made from wool, and should be dry cleaned.

What is the best way to cool the burner down?

If you are looking to reduce the heat being generated, either heat given of as warmth or heat within the firebox for cooking, simply turn down whichever air control you have open towards the MIN level. Do not go all the way to MIN or this will ultimately extinguish the fire  Also ensure the flue dampener is open fully.

How often should they stain/oil the timber on the frame?

The timber is fully stained twice during the build process. Like all timber left outdoors, it will silver over time, but ongoing sealing with a waterproof, UV-resistant stain will extend its lifespan. This is ideally done once a year, doing it at any stage will still increase the lifespan of the timber.

How does the WildKitchen installation process work?

Installation times will depend on the size of WildKitchen you have ordered, and other factors such as accessibility and weather. For more information, please get in touch with our customer service team.

Can I use my tent/table all year round?

Yes, the WildTable an WildKitchen have been purposely designed for use in all seasons.

What cooking methods work on the WildTable?

The WildTable offers huge versatility on how you can cook, combining the ability to grill, fry, smoke, slow-roast, bake, steam and boil. Keep an eye on our social media channels for inspiration on what to cook.
